Resident Advisory Board

The Housing Authority of Douglas County’s Resident Advisory Board (RAB) has been active and engaged in providing our organization a valuable resource since approximately 2005 . HADCO’s RAB consists of participants from its Low Rent Public Housing, Section 8 voucher programs, and DMPM multifamily properties. The RAB plays in important role in developing HADCO’s annual plans required by HUD and reviewing HADCO and DMPM policy and procedure.

Some of the RAB’s current work includes creating a community garden application for public housing and DMPM properties, an electric bike program open to all HADCO and DMPM participants, reviewing changes in HUD policies related to income and asset eligibility, and disaster preparedness meetings for tenants. HADCO wants to ensure opportunities for our program participants are not missed.
